Job summary

Capstone Copper Pinto Valley is seeking an Electrical Project Manager I to lead small to medium capital and sustaining projects focused on electrical systems at Pinto Valley Mine in central Arizona. You will guide projects from concept through design, procurement, construction, and closeout, ensuring safety, cost, schedule, and quality objectives.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in electrical engineering or related field, 1–3 years of project engineering or management experience, and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology or senior electrician.
• 1–3 years of experience in project engineering or project management.
• Experience with power distribution systems and electrical design.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience managing project schedules, budgets, and contractors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from scope development through construction and closeout, including development of charters, scope of work, schedules and budgets.
• Develop, review, and support electrical designs and technical solutions.
• Lead bid walks, evaluate contractor proposals, support contract development, and coordinate contractors.
• Monitor field activities to ensure safety, environmental, design compliance, and quality.
• Track project costs and timelines, manage change orders, and support budgeting/forecasting.
• Maintain drawings and documentation and provide regular project status updates to leadership.
