Job summary

Capstone Copper's Pinto Valley Mine in Arizona is seeking an Electrical Project Manager I to lead small to medium capital and sustaining projects, focusing on electrical systems and infrastructure, from concept through design, procurement, construction and closeout.

The role partners with project teams, operations and contractors to deliver safe, cost-effective, on-time engineering solutions, maintaining site standards and regulatory compliance with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology or senior electrician.
• 1–3 years of experience in project engineering or project management.
• Experience with power distribution systems and electrical design.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience managing project schedules, budgets, and contractors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from scope development through construction and closeout.
• Develop, review, and support electrical designs and technical solutions.
• Lead bid walks, evaluate contractor proposals, support contract development, and coordinate contractors.
• Monitor field activities to ensure safety, environmental, and design compliance.
• Track project costs and timelines, manage change orders, and support budget development and forecasting.
• Maintain engineering drawings and documentation, support as-built updates, and provide regular project status updates.
