Job summary

IMEG in Cincinnati, OH seeks a Senior Electrical Designer to lead design efforts as a project manager or lead designer for moderate to complex projects.

You will manage electrical system design for buildings, mentor staff, and coordinate cross-functional work to meet budgets and client expectations.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 7+ years in building design consulting; 8+ preferred.
• 11+ years in building design or construction is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, oversee, and manage projects ranging in size and complexity.
• Assist Project Executives and Client Executives with design scopes of work, fee calculations for proposal generation, and contract reviews.
• Create project schedules with milestone targets and deadlines.
• Serve as the point of contact for teams and clients.
• Create monthly billings, submit financial information to Accounting in a timely manner, and update billing projections and estimated completion percentage for all projects monthly.
• Ensure design follows owner standards and requirements, IMEG standards and code requirements, design milestone deliverables are achieved, IMEG and client quality control processes are completed, and construction technical support occurs in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with design staff and coordinate project scheduling during all phases of design and construction.
• Schedule and lead progress meetings and provide meeting documentation.
• Conduct construction site visits and provide documentation as needed or requested.
• Respond to and resolve client / construction concerns, manage change orders, and obtain appropriate approvals.
• Train, mentor, and motivate staff.
• Build, maintain, and develop client relationships.
