Job summary

You will work with engineers and clients to provide electrical engineering solutions, manage project budgets, mentor staff, and ensure code compliance, safety, and quality while advancing innovative energy-efficient designs.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering and PE license required.
• 7+ years in building design consulting; 8+ years preferred.
• Strong knowledge of power systems, circuit theory and electromagnetism.
• Familiar with IES/ NFPA standards and related references.
• Proficiency with MS Office; able to mentor and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical system design for moderate to complex buildings.
• Develop detailed designs, specs, and calculations per codes.
• Perform site assessments and produce analyses.
• Define client needs and communicate recommendations clearly.
• Mentor staff and support team development.
• Review designs and apply IMEG quality control.
• Maintain client relationships through professional communication.
• Address field issues with limited senior staff support.
• Stay current on industry trends and innovations.
• Prioritize safety and manage project risks.
• Travel up to 20% with occasional overnight stays.
