Job summary

EMCOR Group, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer for our New York operations. The role focuses on drafting and coordinating electrical installation work in alignment with contract documents, while translating drawings into 2D and 3D layouts and managing BIM strategies.

You will use Revit MEP and AutoCAD MEP for shop drawings, coordinate with project teams, and ensure timely, safe execution across multiple sites in the NYC area.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required; Master of Science desirable but not required.
• Knowledge of electrical construction industry basics, NEC, and design.
• Strong understanding of BIM and coordination processes.

Responsibilities

• Draft and coordinate electrical installation work per contract documents.
• Translate drawings into 2D/3D installation drawings; manage clash detection.
• Develop project-specific BIM strategies, scope, and planning.
• Create installation shop drawings using Revit MEP or AutoCAD MEP.
• Communicate project status to ensure on-time delivery and quality.
