Job summary

Welsbach Electric is a premier electrical contractor in New York City, providing design-build services for government, utilities and commercial clients. The Electrical Project Engineer will translate contract drawings into 2D/3D installation layouts, coordinate BIM strategies, and support project teams across engineering, estimating, and administration.

Candidates should have 1–5 years in the electrical industry, knowledge of NEC, and proficiency with AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP.

Qualifications

• 1 - 5 years related experience in electrical industry.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and design.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and city regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Director of Engineering and field direction on technical and quality issues.
• Utilize Revit MEP or AutoCAD MEP to create installation shop drawings and sketches from contract drawings.
• Layout of electrical systems in 3D for BIM coordination and clash detection.
