Job summary

Five Star Electric Corp., a Tutor Perini Company, in Ozone Park, NY, seeks a Sr. Electrical BIM Engineer to lead design, modeling, and coordination on major projects.

You will drive electrical models in Revit, manage multi‑discipline coordination, and mentor junior staff. The role requires 6+ years as an electrical engineer, strong NEC knowledge, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revizto, Bluebeam, BIM 360/ACC and Procore.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of electrical engineering experience in construction/design-build.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit for electrical modeling and coordination.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience with electrical contracting environments is preferred.
• Strong NEC knowledge and applicable codes; coordination across trades.
• Ability to produce detailed drawings and specifications independently.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for commercial/industrial projects.
• Develop and manage detailed electrical models and drawings in Revit.
• Coordinate with architects, structural, mechanical teams and other trades.
• Support project managers with schedules, submittals, RFIs, and changes.
• Mentor junior engineers and BIM designers; ensure BIM standards.
