Job summary

Welsbach Electric Corp. in New York City seeks an Electrical Project Engineer to aid in engineering and coordination of electrical work, translating contract drawings into 2D and 3D installation drawings and guiding BIM strategy. You will manage clash detection and change orders with the project team.

Proficiency in AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP, plus the ability to travel to project sites, are required. A strong understanding of lighting, security, fire alarm, and power systems is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required; master's preferred.
• Experience with electrical design, BIM, and contract documents.
• Knowledge of NEC and electrical construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in engineering and coordination of electrical work per contract documents.
• Create 2D/3D installation drawings and perform clash detection.
• Develop BIM strategies, manage change orders, and review as-built conditions.
• Communicate project status and coordinate with field teams and customers.
