Job summary

Hunt Electric Corporation in Hudson, Wisconsin seeks a Business Development Representative 2 to collaborate with the Business Development and Estimating teams, driving project planning from sale to kick-off and engaging with customers throughout the lifecycle of a project.

This role emphasizes interfacing with Designers, Project Managers, and vendors; developing proposals, performing estimating tasks, maintaining files, and supporting pre-bid and bid reviews to secure future work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associates degree in electrical construction, construction management, electrical engineering, or similar discipline preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical construction.
• 3+ years as salesperson and/or project manager in electrical construction.
• Knowledge of business and management principles for strategic planning, sales tactics, leadership, and resource coordination.
• Strong estimating skills using Enterprise or similar software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe/Bluebeam.
• Experience with conceptual estimating, low voltage systems estimating, design/build estimating.

Responsibilities

• Review project proposals to determine Baer’s project scope and responsibilities.
• Secure projects while maintaining quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
• Execute the estimating plan with accurate labor, materials, and costs.
• Interface with Designers, Project Managers, and others to resolve issues.
• Develop relationships with vendors and participate in bid reviews.
