Job summary

Hunt Electric is seeking an Estimator 2 to prepare electrical estimates for industrial and commercial projects, including automotive, mission critical, and healthcare sectors. The role requires interpreting multi-discipline drawings, attending pre-bid and bid reviews, and ensuring accurate takeoffs and quotes for materials and subcontracts.

Applicants should have a high school diploma (or equivalent) plus a two-year degree in Electrical Construction or related field, and 3+ years of estimating

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two-year degree in Electrical Construction or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of electrical conceptual estimating, low voltage estimating, NEC requirements, and design/build estimating experience.

Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret design drawings from multiple disciplines.
• Prepare and seek quotations for materials and subcontracts.
• Use estimating software to estimate projects and perform takeoffs.
• Estimate labor, materials and costs; write scope letters for proposals.
• Maintain detailed records of estimate revisions for turnover to management.
