Job summary

Hunt Electric, based in Minnesota, seeks a Senior Estimator to lead electrical estimates for mission-critical projects. You will coordinate with design disciplines, the BD team, and preconstruction to ensure complete, accurate bid packages.

Required are 8+ years of electrical estimating experience, proficiency in Accubid/Enterprise, Bluebeam, and Excel, plus strong communication and mentoring abilities. This role emphasizes accuracy and leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in electrical conceptual estimating, low voltage estimating, NEC requirements, and design/build estimating.
• Experience training and mentoring Estimator I and Estimator II is preferred.
• Strong computerized estimating skills; experience with Accubid or Enterprise is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Bluebeam software for estimating and construction tasks.
• Strong mathematical skills and MS Office expertise (Excel) are mandatory.
• Competent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication; presentation skills desirable.
• Ability to multi-task and work autonomously or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret design drawings and specifications across disciplines.
• Schedule and participate in estimating kickoff meetings.
• Lead bid reviews and finalize estimates with the Estimating Team.
• Prepare quotation of materials and subcontracts.
• Develop scopes of work and bid leveling documents.
• Collaborate with Business Development to shape bid strategy.
• Maintain detailed records of estimate revisions and supporting documents.
