Job summary

Hunt Electric in Minnesota is seeking an experienced Estimator 3/Sr. Estimator to lead electrical estimates for mission critical projects. You will interpret design drawings, prepare quotations, and coordinate with the estimating team.

The role requires 8+ years in electrical estimating, proficiency with Accubid/Enterprise and Bluebeam, and strong MS Office skills. You will mentor junior estimators and support business development while participating in kickoff meetings and bid reviews.

Qualifications

• Proven electrical estimating experience required (8+ years).
• Experience with design/build estimating and NEC requirements.
• Strong computerized estimating skills using electrical estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret design drawings and specifications across disciplines.
• Schedule and participate in estimating kickoff meetings.
• Lead bid reviews with the Estimating Team and prepare quotations.
• Collaborate with BD and division leadership to develop bid strategy.
• Mentor and develop Estimator I/II, manage resources for timely estimates.
• Create scope of work documents and bid leveling for third-party quotes.
• Utilize estimating software to perform takeoffs and data entry.
• Maintain detailed records of estimate revisions and supporting documents.
