Job summary

Hunt Electric Corporation is seeking an Estimator 2 to prepare complete electrical estimates for industrial and commercial projects, including automotive, mission critical, and healthcare facilities. The role emphasizes accuracy, communication, and attention to detail, with hybrid work options.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, attending pre-bid and final bid reviews, performing takeoffs, and utilizing estimating software.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree in Electrical Construction or related field
• 3+ years of electrical estimating experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe/Bluebeam, and virtual meeting software
• Computerized estimating skills using Enterprise or another estimating software
• Competent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Effective problem-solving and time management skills
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Ability to mentor and train

Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret design drawings from multiple disciplines
• Attend pre-bid meetings, bid reviews, and kickoff meetings
• Prepare and seek quotations for materials and subcontracts
• Use estimating software to enter data and perform takeoffs
• Estimate labor, materials, and administrative costs for projects
• Write scope letters and submit supporting documents with proposals
• Maintain detailed records of estimate revisions for turnover to project management
• Support cross-team communication with designers and project managers
