Job summary

Nox Group is seeking a Purchasing Agent to manage vendor relationships, procurement workflows, and cross-team coordination on construction projects across our markets. You will help ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of materials and services from inception through completion.

We value years of purchasing experience, strong communication, and the ability to train others on procurement software and processes.

Qualifications

5+ years of procurement/purchasing experience, preferably in construction.
Familiarity with electrical commodity material.
Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
Reliable transportation for commute and occasional jobsite visits.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Support estimating with vendor contacts, pricing, and lead times.
Assist in awarding engineered buyout and commodity packages; request updated pricing.
Create and manage hold-for-release purchase orders and procurement plans.
Coordinate between operations and distribution with clear communications and tracking.
Source back-ordered items and manage change orders for buyout packages.
Oversee rental requests and forecast committed costs.
Review open purchase orders with accounting to ensure accuracy and close completed orders.
