Job summary

Nox Group is a leading industrial construction company seeking a Purchasing Agent to manage procurement on a specific market, coordinating between vendors, project teams, and accounting to deliver on time and within budget.

You will support estimators with pricing and lead times, issue hold-for-release orders, and ensure accurate cost tracking and delivery across projects in a safety-sensitive environment. High School diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of procurement/purchasing experience, preferably in construction.
• Moderate to strong familiarity with electrical commodity material.
• Strong Interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Moderate technical skills for software training and implementation.
• Task oriented, adaptable and organized.
• Must have Reliable transportation for commute and occasional jobsite visits.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, continuously enhancing knowledge of offerings and capabilities.
• Support estimating personnel with vendor contacts, real-time pricing, and lead times for items.
• Assist in awarding engineered buyout and commodity packages; compile quotes by material type and project phase; request updated pricing from vendors.
• Create and manage Hold for Release purchase orders; deliver procurement plans for final approval.
• Act as liaison between operations and distribution, ensuring clear communication and tracking logs.
• Source back-ordered items and manage change orders for buyout packages; handle replacement logistics.
• Oversee rental requests; manage rental software and cost forecasting.
• Review open purchase orders with accounting; reconcile committed costs and receipts.
