Job summary

Leapros Skilled Trades in Greensboro, NC, seeks a Senior Electrical Purchasing Agent to lead procurement for electrical construction projects across automotive, heavy industrial, and mission-critical sectors.

You will manage PO issuance, evaluate vendor quotes, negotiate terms, and coordinate with PMs and estimators to meet budgets and schedules. This role emphasizes cost control, vendor partnerships, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in electrical or construction.
• Strong knowledge of electrical materials and construction procurement practices.
• Experience supporting commercial, industrial, or automotive construction projects preferred.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Experience with ERP or purchasing systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing and procurement activities for electrical construction projects.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and material requests for accurate purchasing.
• Generate, manage, and track purchase orders aligned with budgets and schedules.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor quotations for pricing and quality.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms with suppliers.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Estimators, and field leadership on materials and lead times.
• Monitor material deliveries and resolve delays or discrepancies.
• Track procurement costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.

Our well-established, electrical contractor is looking for a Senior Electrical Purchasing Agent to play a critical role in supporting complex automotive, heavy industrial, and mission-critical electrical construction projects.

• 10+ years of purchasing or procurement experience within electrical or construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of electrical materials and construction procurement practices.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead purchasing and procurement activities for electrical construction projects.

• Monitor material deliveries and proactively resolve delays or discrepancies.
• Track procurement costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors, distributors, and suppliers.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
• Support forecasting of material needs across active projects.
• Assist in developing and improving purchasing processes and standards.
• $80K - $120K Base Salary (Depending on Experience Level & Years Experience)
