Job summary

Loenbro is seeking a Purchasing Agent to support procurement for electrical projects, ensuring cost-effective supply chains and compliance with quality standards.

The role focuses on vendor selection, ordering, inventory control, and cost optimization in a fast-moving project environment. A degree is preferred, with strong negotiation and software skills to drive procurement excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred; or a minimum of ten years purchasing experience in lieu of a degree.
• Proven experience as Purchasing Agent or in a similar procurement role within electrical or construction industries.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Vendor selection and supplier evaluation with negotiation of terms.
• Place orders for electrical materials and equipment to meet project needs.
• Maintain inventory records and replenish stock.
• Monitor pricing trends and implement cost-saving strategies.
• Coordinate with quality team to ensure material standards.
• Maintain procurement documentation including POs and invoices.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to coordinate procurement.
