Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting seeks an Electrical Power Systems Engineer to lead modeling, protection coordination, and design for industrial, utility, and data center projects. You will build models from field data, perform studies, and develop relay settings, tests, and commissioning plans.

Ideal candidates have ABET accreditation, 3+ years of experience, and proficiency with SKM ETAP or EasyPower. Travel to project sites is expected; comfortable working with cross-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum of 3 years of electrical power systems engineering experience in industrial, utility, or consulting.
• Experience designing or modifying medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems.
• Hands-on modeling and study experience with SKM Power*Tools, ETAP, EasyPower, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain power system models from field data and drawings; perform load flow, short-circuit, and arc flash studies.
• Develop protective relay settings and coordination; produce settings files and test plans.
• Design and upgrade medium- to low-voltage distribution systems and equipment.
• Review studies and reports; support field verification, testing, and commissioning.
• Lead electrical scope on projects and coordinate with other disciplines.
