Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting seeks an Electrical Power Engineer to join our team in Cleveland, OH. You will design, analyze, and upgrade medium- and low-voltage power systems for industrial clients, guiding projects from concept through commissioning.

Responsibilities include studies, relay settings, grounding, and equipment sizing, with mentoring of junior engineers. Flexible hybrid/remote location options and strong growth potential are offered.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in electrical engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum 3 years in electrical power systems engineering for industrial, utility, or consulting.
• Experience designing/modifying MV (1 kV–38 kV) and LV distribution systems.
• Hands-on modeling in SKM ETAP EasyPower or equivalent with data-based models.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE standards for industrial power systems.
• Ability to read one-line diagrams and protection schematics; identify errors.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical scope on moderate to large projects from concept to energization.
• Produce and review electrical design deliverables: diagrams, schematics, and plans.
• Develop protective relay settings and coordination; create tests and files.
• Support field investigations, RFIs, and commissioning activities.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and vendors; mentor junior staff.
• Ensure safety and compliance with applicable standards on all work.
