Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Production Technician in the United States to assemble and test electrical control equipment, ensuring quality and adherence to drawings and instructions. The role requires using hand and power tools to build panelboards and switchboards, performing inspections, and preparing units for shipment.

The position offers a first-shift schedule with incentive opportunities. The ideal candidate will have at least one year in an assembly role or a one-year Technical School diploma,

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in an assembly related role with hand/power tools or completion of a one-year Technical School diploma from an accredited institution.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position; only candidates within 50 miles of the work location will be considered; Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration status or support CPT/OPT/STEM OPT/H-1B etc.

Responsibilities

• Assemble panelboards and/or switchboards to customer specifications based on electrical drawings and work instructions using hand and power tools.
• Inspect and test finished products to ensure quality and conformance with specifications.
• Perform wiring assembly of panelboards and/or switchboards using wire strippers and pliers.
• Maintain progress and communicate any part shortages or issues to ensure on-time completion.
• Prepare finished products for shipment and receive/organize material.
• Suggest improvements for quality, processes, and safety; maintain 5S in the work area.
• Cross-train across functions as needed.
