Job summary

Moore Home Services in California seeks an Electrical Manager to lead the electrical department, oversee residential service and installation projects, and drive safety, code compliance, and profitability across the team.

You will recruit and develop electricians, manage budgets and KPIs, coordinate with sales and dispatch, and champion a culture focused on quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of residential electrical experience with progressive leadership responsibilities.
• Proven success leading, growing, and developing electrical teams.
• Strong working knowledge of residential electrical systems, troubleshooting, installations, and the NEC.
• Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license (preferred or as required by state/local regulations).
• Demonstrated business acumen with experience managing budgets, profitability, KPIs, and operational performance.
• Exceptional leadership, coaching, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to inspire, motivate, and hold teams accountable to high standards.
• Experience with scheduling, workforce planning, and operational management.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of electricians and apprentices.
• Establish safety, professionalism, and exceptional customer service culture.
• Oversee daily electrical ops across service, repair, and installation projects.
• Ensure all work complies with NEC and local codes.
• Provide technical guidance on complex diagnostics and installations.
• Develop departmental goals, budgets, and staffing plans.
• Monitor KPIs, productivity, revenue, and profitability.
• Coordinate with sales, dispatch, and customer service for smooth ops.
• Support estimating, job scoping, and proposal development.
• Drive continuous improvement to increase efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety, licensing, and best practices.
