Job summary

Amteck seeks an Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of electrical systems in industrial settings. The role emphasizes safety, NFPA 70B and NETA standards to ensure uptime and reliability of facility electrical infrastructure.

Responsibilities include testing, infrared thermography, documentation, and safe operation. Travel may be required to support diverse manufacturing environments with a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in industrial electrical maintenance or similar environments.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, power distribution, and installations.
• Ability to develop preventive maintenance strategies aligned with standards.
• Proficient with electrical tools, instruments, and testing equipment.
• Capable of interpreting arc-flash studies and safety protocols.
• Familiarity with NEC, OSHA, NFPA 70E/70B rules and practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and testing per NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA.
• Conduct infrared thermography to identify faults and abnormal heat.
• Inspect components and wiring for wear, contamination, or damage.
• Clean, lubricate, and service electrical equipment for reliability.
• Test power distribution, controls, and motors for proper function.
• Document inspections, results, actions, and recommendations.
• Enforce safety programs including LOTO and arc-flash awareness.
• Communicate findings with customers, supervisors, and teams.
• Travel as needed; uphold company safety and quality standards.
