Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking an Electrical Lead Project Engineer to oversee electrical engineering activities at the job site, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance.

You will guide field engineers and subcontractors, review drawings and specs, coordinate with construction teams, and ensure schedules, quality, and regulatory requirements are met on diverse projects across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Typically 5–10+ years of experience in electrical field engineering, construction, commissioning, or related roles.
• Proven experience leading field engineering teams on large-scale industrial, utility, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical power systems, protection schemes, and industrial control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and engineering specifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical expertise for electrical systems, including power distribution, grounding, lighting, control systems, and equipment.
• Interpret drawings, schematics, and specifications to support installation and commissioning activities.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide real-time resolutions to minimize delays.
• Lead field engineering team members with mentoring and technical support.
• Coordinate electrical installation activities with construction, mechanical, civil, and instrumentation teams.
• Review design documents for constructability and improvements.
• Support procurement by reviewing vendor docs and submittals.
• Maintain project schedules by planning work and monitoring progress.
• Perform site inspections to verify compliance with standards and codes.
• Oversee testing and commissioning of electrical equipment.
• Prepare and review test procedures, work packages, and turnover documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Promote safety policies and conduct safety reviews (LOTO, permits, arc-flash).
