Job summary

TEAM Industrial Services, Inc. is seeking a Heat‑Treating Technician with Electrical Resistance expertise. The role involves PWHT using electric resistance, setup and programming of heat cycles, and on‑site coordination with welders and inspectors across field and shop environments.

Preferred experience includes induction or combustion heat treating, and a background in refinery, petrochemical, or power settings. Requires travel and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years of hands‑on ERHT experience in industrial settings.
• TWIC and DISA/site access credentials or ability to obtain.
• Willingness to travel and work across field, shop, and client sites.

Responsibilities

• Set‑up, operate, and break down electrical resistance heating systems including ceramic heaters and thermocouples.
• Perform PWHT and preheat activities according to procedures and codes.
• Lay out and install heat‑treat blankets, insulation, and thermocouples.
• Program, monitor, and record temperature cycles with control units.
• Interpret weld procedures, stress relief specs, and heat treatment drawings.
• Troubleshoot equipment and temperature control issues during operations.
• Coordinate on‑site with welders, inspectors, and client representatives.
• Maintain logs and charts for QA/QC and client reporting.
