Job summary

Johnson Matthey Plc is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer for their Graduate Engineering Program (GEP) within Group Engineering. The role offers hands-on development, mentorship, and exposure to high-priority projects as you work toward Chartered Engineer status.

You will study and contribute to safety, sustainability, and reliability improvements, while gaining experience in plant commissioning, process standardization, and energy management across JM sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (minimum 3.2 GPA).
• Willingness to relocate to JM sites for three placements during the program and first role.
• Demonstrated leadership potential and a positive attitude in adversity.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engineered solutions for production to improve safety, sustainability, and reliability.
• Commission new plant equipment and develop/deliver training for operators.
• Mechanical and maintenance optimization.
• Electrical AC Power Systems, Motors and Drives, Control Instrumentation and Grounding systems.
• Implement JM processes to drive continuous improvement toward goals.
• Energy, water, waste and emission monitoring to drive sustainability opportunities.
