Job summary

Comfort Systems USA in Chesapeake, VA seeks a seasoned Foreman Electrician to oversee a crew of Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman electricians. You will lead, train and evaluate the team while performing installation, alteration and repair of electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments.

Read project specs, develop material lists, coordinate with supervision, ensure work adheres to NEC and local codes, and manage schedules to meet production and budget goals.

Qualifications

7-10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
Ability to lead, mentor, and coach teams of roughly five workers.
Strong understanding of blueprints and project specifications.
Willingness to learn BlueBeam and Navisworks to review project plans.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
Ensure highest quality of work and safety standards.
Develop manpower schedules for the team.
Create material lists from layouts and communicate to supervision.
Support production and budget goals by coordinating tasks.
Ensure crew works within local codes and NEC guidelines.
Lay out, install, and terminate electrical conduit and devices.
Interpret project drawings and NEMA specs.
