Job summary

Comfort Systems USA in Virginia seeks a Foreman Electrician to lead a crew of Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman electricians on commercial and industrial projects. You will install, repair and maintain electrical systems while mentoring your team to meet schedule and quality goals.

Responsibilities include developing manpower schedules, drafting material lists, coordinating with supervision, reading blueprints and project specs, and ensuring compliance with NEC and local codes.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and coach a crew of roughly five electricians.
• Read and understand blueprints, schematics, and project specifications.
• Demonstrates basic skills in using BlueBeam/Navisworks when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Work alongside their crew to ensure quality of work to the highest standards.
• Assist in developing an effective manpower schedule for their team.
• Develop material lists from layouts, area prints, and job site demands; communicate lists to supervision.
• Help achieve production and budget goals by understanding tasks and relaying to the team.
• Ensure all work done by crew complies with local and NEC guidelines.
• Read project specifications, blueprints, and schematics; lay out work from drawings.
• Lead safety, coordination with other trades, and adherence to schedules.
