Job summary

Amteck is seeking a Foreman Electrician to oversee a crew of Helpers, Apprentices, and Journeyman electricians on commercial and industrial projects. The Foreman will install, alter and repair electrical systems, mentor the crew, and ensure work meets NEC and local guidelines.

Responsibilities include leading the crew on site, developing manpower schedules, reading plans, sizing wires and conduits, and coordinating with supervision.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Ability to lead, mentor and coach a crew of five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
• Strong understanding of blueprints, schedules and project documents.
• Able to communicate with other trades and supervisors and ensure safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Work alongside the crew and ensure high-quality work to standards.
• Develop manpower schedules for the team.
• Create material lists from layouts and job site demands and communicate to supervision.
• Assist in meeting production and budget goals and coordinate with supervision.
• Ensure work complies with local and NEC guidelines.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, and install conduit and electrical devices.
• Read project specs, blueprints, and schematics; lay out work from drawings.
