Job summary

Amteck is seeking an experienced Foreman Electrician to lead a crew on commercial/industrial electrical projects. You will guide Journeymen, Helpers and Apprentices, ensure high-quality work, and manage scheduling and materials on site.

You’ll read blueprints, size conductors, install conduits, and troubleshoot lighting/power circuits while maintaining NEC compliance. Overtime and weekend work may be required to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Able to lead, mentor and coach a crew of ~5 electricians.
• Thorough understanding of a small, assigned scope of work and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Ensure work quality meets high standards and safety guidelines.
• Develop manpower schedules and manage crew workload.
• Create material lists from layouts and site needs for supervision.
• Help achieve production and budget goals through effective communication.
• Ensure crew work adheres to local and NEC guidelines.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit and devices.
• Read project specs, blueprints, and schematics to lay out work.
• Determine wire and conduit sizing and perform basic troubleshooting.
