Job summary

Amteck is seeking a seasoned Foreman Electrician to oversee a crew of Helpers, Apprentices, and Journeyman electricians on commercial and industrial projects. You will lead, train and evaluate the team while ensuring work meets the highest quality and safety standards.

You will read project specs, blueprints and schematics, develop material lists, and coordinate with supervision to maintain schedules and budgets. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Demonstrates leadership abilities with capability to grow into lead roles.
• Able to lead, mentor and coach teams of approximately five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman electricians.
• Understanding of a small, assigned scope and ability to identify work outside of it.
• Strong communication with other trades and problem-solving on site.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Ensure quality of work to the highest standards.
• Develop manpower schedules for the team.
• Develop material lists from layouts and job-site demands.
• Support production and budget goals through clear task communication.
• Ensure all work complies with local and NEC guidelines.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit and electrical devices.
• Read project specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
• Layout work from electrical drawings and project documents.
