Job summary

Comfort Systems USA is seeking a Foreman Electrician in Ashland, VA, to lead a crew of Helpers, Apprentices, and Journeyman electricians on commercial/industrial projects. Responsibilities include mentoring the crew, ensuring quality, coordinating materials, and aligning work with project specs and NEC guidelines.

The role requires 7–10 years of field experience, strong leadership, and the ability to read blueprints and manage layouts. Willingness to learn BlueBeam/Navisworks is a plus.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction in commercial/industrial environments.
• Ability to lead, mentor and coach a small crew.
• Basic skills in communicating with other trades and negotiating assignments.
• Read and understand blueprints, project specs, and schematics.
• Willingness to learn BlueBeam and Navisworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Ensure quality of work meets high standards.
• Develop manpower schedules for the team.
• Develop material lists from layouts and communicate to supervision.
• Help achieve production and budget goals by relaying critical tasks to the team.
• Ensure all work complies with local and NEC guidelines.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit and fittings.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panels, and feeders.
• Read project drawings and perform field layout.
• Use Trimble equipment for field layout and project planning.
