Job summary

Comfort Systems USA, Inc. is seeking an experienced Foreman Electrician to lead a crew on commercial/industrial electrical projects in Ridgeland, MS. You will supervise journeymen, apprentices and helpers, coordinate layouts, and ensure safety and quality on site.

The role requires strong leadership, blueprint literacy, field layout with Trimble equipment, and the ability to read project specs and schematics. Overtime and weekend work may be involved.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates leadership abilities with the capability and desire to grow in this area.
• Ability to lead, mentor and coach teams of roughly five helpers, apprentices and journeymen electricians.
• Reads and understands project specifications, blueprints and schematics.
• Develops and communicates manpower schedules for the crew.
• Demonstrates basic understanding of customer relationships and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site
• Work alongside their crew and ensure quality of work to the highest standards
• Assist in the development of an effective manpower schedule for their team
• Develop material lists from layouts and job site demands, and communicate lists to supervision
• Helps achieve production and budget goals by understanding what needs to be done and communicates that to the team
• Ensure all work done by crew is within local and NEC guidelines
• Perform field layout using Trimble equipment and software
• Read and understand project specifications, blueprints, and schematics
• Lay out small areas of work from electrical drawings and project documents
• Correctly determine wire, conduit, and junction box sizing
• Perform basic troubleshooting of lighting and general power circuits
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of circuitry
