Job summary

Comfort Systems USA is seeking a Foreman Electrician to oversee a crew of Helpers, Apprentices, and Journeyman electricians on commercial/industrial sites. You will lead, train, and evaluate the crew while ensuring work meets project specs and safety standards.

The role requires strong leadership, on-site coordination, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics to lay out and install conduit, devices, panels, and feeders in accordance with NEC and local codes.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and coach teams of five or more electricians.
• Understands project specifications and blueprints to guide on-site work.
• Capable of coordinating with other trades and supervising scheduling.
• Willingness to participate in field training and leadership development.
• Safety-conscious with adherence to NEC and local codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Ensure quality of work and adherence to highest standards.
• Develop an effective manpower schedule for the team.
• Prepare material lists from layouts and communicate to supervision.
• Help achieve production and budget goals through clear team communication.
• Ensure crew work complies with local NEC guidelines.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, conductors, and panels.
• Read project specs, blueprints, and schematics.
• Lay out work areas from electrical drawings, including underground layouts.
• Troubleshoot lighting and general power circuits.
