Job summary

ABB is seeking a field service professional to work with customers in Texas, performing installation, commissioning, maintenance, and upgrades. You will identify improvements, troubleshoot issues on-site, and prepare material lists while maintaining strong customer relationships.

The role emphasizes safety, timely administration, and exploring new service and product enhancements. Candidates should have electrical/electronics credentials and OSHA 30, with proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Skilled Trades (electrical/electronics) preferred with OSHA 30 certification.
• Ability to communicate information effectively to different levels in the organization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Project management experience with MS Project or Excel preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines on admin tasks.

Responsibilities

• Work on-site with customers to identify opportunities for operational improvement and eliminate pain points.
• Perform field service tasks, including on-site troubleshooting of technical issues.
• Prepare material lists for service activities and ensure parts meet quality standards.
• Execute installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, upgrades and retrofits.
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships to enhance satisfaction.
• Identify potential new sales opportunities and communicate them internally.
• Identify equipment failures early and recommend corrective actions.
• Follow safety protocols and report unsafe practices promptly.
