Zusammenfassung

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a field-based electrical power technician to inspect, test, and troubleshoot high- and medium-voltage systems up to 500kV. You will perform transformer and relay tests, conduct cable diagnostics, and support on-call emergencies, with travel across local areas and occasional overnight assignments.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree from a 2-year technical college in Electrical Power or equivalent military training preferred.
• NETA Certification II or higher preferred or equivalent skills/experience to become NETA Certified.
• OSHA 30 hour, MSHA, NFPA 70-E, CPR/First Aid/BBP/AED training preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience operating a vehicle with a valid license.

Aufgaben

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, start-up and collect data on HV (up to 500kV) electrical systems.
• Perform instrument transformer tests and power transformer testing (Doble, TTR, insulation resistance).
• Test electro-mechanical and solid-state relays; conduct cable testing (Tan Delta, Power Factor, VLF, DC Hipot).
• Troubleshoot automatic transfer switches; test low/medium/high voltage switchgear and breakers.
• Travel locally and overnight; respond to customer emergencies; adhere to electrical safety procedures.
• Contribute to a strong team environment and safety culture.
