Job summary

IEM is seeking a motivated Field Service Technician Level I to support start-up, commissioning, installation, testing, and troubleshooting of our switchboards, control panels, and power products. Under supervision, you will gain hands-on experience, learn procedures, and contribute to customer-site support.

Ideal candidates have basic electrical/mechanical aptitude, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to read wiring diagrams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in power distribution systems or related field.
• 0–2 years of electrical, mechanical, technical or field service experience preferred.
• Basic electrical, mechanical, or technical aptitude required.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and technical docs.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills required.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills required.
• Ability to work independently after training.

Responsibilities

• Assist start-up, commissioning, installation, testing and troubleshooting of equipment under guidance.
• Support basic modifications of electrical/mechanical components and subassemblies.
• Perform basic testing of modified assemblies per procedures.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting of electrical circuits and networking equipment.
• Escalate issues to leads, PMs, or manufacturing teams as appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
