Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Sales Representative for our Arlington Heights, IL Electrical team, supporting Industrial, Home Appliance and Electronics product testing and certification. The role emphasizes proactive client engagement, field visits, and proposal development to grow the assigned territory.

You will spend at least 50% of your time outside the office meeting clients, attending trade shows, and presenting solutions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of prior successful sales experience.
• Must be energized, self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; excellent written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Sell Intertek’s services within assigned vertical, account, and territory through research, prospecting, and networking.
• Work with Sales Manager to define and develop territory to increase new and existing sales.
• Spend minimum 50% outside of the office interfacing with target clients.
• Meet with current and prospective customers via client presentations and trade shows.
• Write and follow up on proposals, specify appropriate standards and pricing.
• Provide outstanding customer service and meet activity targets in the CRM system.
