Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Sales Representative to join the Arlington Heights, IL Electrical team supporting Industrial, Home Appliance and Electronics product testing and certification. The role requires a self-sufficient, entrepreneurial approach and involves substantial client engagement outside the office.

Responsibilities include selling services, developing territory, meeting clients at trade shows, writing proposals, and delivering outstanding service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 1 year of sales experience.
• Superior interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
• Valid driver's license and reliable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Sell Intertek’s services within assigned territory and accounts.
• Develop territory with Sales Manager to grow new and existing sales.
• Spend at least 50% outside the office engaging clients.
• Meet with customers via presentations and trade shows.
• Prepare proposals; define standards and pricing.
