Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager 2 in Manhattan Beach, CA to lead the Sentinel - Command Systems hardware design integration team. The role blends functional management (10–15 ICs) with program responsibilities, including recruiting, mentoring, and driving design excellence.

The position requires an active DoD Secret clearance, a BS in a STEM field (MS preferred), and significant experience in cable/harness design and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
• BS in STEM with 8+ years experience or MS with 6+ years.
• Experience in electrical architecture and cable/harness design.
• Knowledge of IEC, NEC, NFPA standards is preferred.
• Ability to obtain SAP approval when needed.

Responsibilities

• Direct CS hardware cable design and documentation efforts.
• Provide technical leadership and design direction to a team of engineers.
• Lead technical reviews and ensure requirements traceability.
• Coordinate with IPTs and internal/external customers.
• Identify risks and manage programmatic actions.
