Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager 2 for the Sentinel program based in Manhattan Beach, CA. The role combines functional management (FHR) with technical program support, leading a team of engineers focused on hardware cable design and interfaces.

You will mentor 10–15 ICs, recruit and staff, and coordinate with internal and external customers while reporting to the SDS Electrical Department Manager. A DoD Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret or higher clearance required
• Experience in electrical architecture and/or cable/harness design
• Familiar with IPC/WHMA-A-620 and relevant standards
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics

Responsibilities

• Lead a diverse team of electrical designers within the Sentinel program
• Perform functional management activities and program responsibilities (dual-hat role)
• Provide career mentorship and operational support to the Functional Home Room team
• Oversee CS hardware cable design and report to IPT cable subsection lead
• Develop solutions with program leadership to meet productivity, quality, and schedule objectives
• Interface with customers and cross-IPT coordination across the program
