Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Roy, UT seeks an Electrical Engineering Manager2 to lead a multi-functional team within the Sentinel Program, overseeing hardware design, reviews, and integration across IPTs. The role blends senior engineering work with people leadership and requires active DoD security clearances.

Candidates should have a STEM degree with substantial experience in electrical hardware, CAD and Mentor Graphics tools, plus strong leadership abilities in a high‑tech defense environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM field plus 8 years of experience or Master's degree in STEM field plus 6 years of experience.
• U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance and an in-scope investigation date within the last 6 years.
• Eligibility to obtain Enhanced Security Clearances (SAP) and a DoD Top Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time.
• At least 1 year of proven leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Electrical Hardware design, Cable-Harness design, and wire schematic development.
• Familiar with Siemens Mentor Graphics Capital cable design tool or equivalent.
• Experience with CAD skills in developing wire diagrams or electrical schematics.
• Experience in a technical leadership position.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across Systems Engineering, System Test, Global Supply Chain, suppliers, and IPTs to develop and review electrical system hardware requirements, specifications, designs, trade studies, and analyses supporting milestones and hardware deliveries.
• Ensure team members have the required training, tools, and access to perform design engineering responsibilities.
• Develop and review engineering packages for product lifecycle management release.
• Support dual-hatted role: 80% individual senior engineering work and 20% people leadership within a functional management homeroom.
