Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Electrical Engineer to support the Sentinel AVE System Engineering & Integration (SE&I) Team in Manhattan Beach, CA.

You will lead a team of electrical engineers, guiding the development of system wiring diagrams, layouts, and roadmaps across program elements. The role covers power analysis, signal-quality oversight, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to ensure on-time delivery of AVE electrical designs.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret security clearance at the time of application and ability to obtain SAP approval.
• 5+ years of related engineering experience with a Bachelor's in engineering or a related discipline; or 3 years with a Master's; or 1 year with a PhD.
• Experience with formal management or leadership, including performance reviews for direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of electrical engineers for AVE Segment's electrical development and oversight.
• Create and integrate system wiring diagrams, layouts, and roadmaps across elements.
• Oversee signal-quality analysis to deliver engineering products for the Sentinel missile.
• Manage power allocation, end-to-end power analysis, and power control.
• Provide guidance for engineering leadership and staff development.
• Drive on-time delivery of AVE electrical designs to meet program milestones.
• Ensure staffing, equipment, and training to meet requirements.
• Perform earned value management as CAM and report status.
