Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks a Staff Electrical Lead Engineer in Roy, UT, to serve as a senior technical leader for Sentinel infrastructure. You will ensure robust technical products and drive process improvements across engineering teams.

The role demands leadership of electrical design efforts on MILCON/infrastructure programs, solid experience with power systems, NEC/NESC/IBC codes, and a willingness to travel up to 25%. Top secret clearance is required or achievable.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 12 years of experience; or Master’s with 10; or PhD with 8.
Active DoD Secret clearance at time of application, ability to obtain Top Secret.
4+ years leading electrical design on MILCON, infrastructure, or aerospace/defense programs.
Experience with electrical and power systems design, cables, controls, and engine/generator sets.
Experience in power system studies: load flow, short circuit, arc flash, relay coordination.
Knowledge of NEC, NESC, IBC, UFC and related codes.
Ability and willingness to travel 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

Review INF work products via peer reviews, design reviews, and board meetings.
Balance quality standards with rapid procurement, fabrication, and testing.
Present information to PMs to choose among technical options based on cost, schedule, risk.
Champion process improvements with Engineering leadership and cross‑functional teams.
Coordinate across program teams to assess INF impact from external changes.
