Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Manhattan Beach, CA, seeks an Engineering Manager 2 to support the Sentinel – Command Systems Hardware Design Integration team. This dual-hat role blends functional leadership with hands-on program support on the Sentinel program.

Candidates should hold a STEM degree with 6–8 years of experience, possess active DoD Secret clearance, and demonstrate strong leadership, communications, and analytic skills to guide a diverse team of analysts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 8 years of experience.
• Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance with recent background investigation.
• Ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) approval in a reasonable time.
• Proven technical leadership/management experience.
• Experience writing and presenting technical content.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Understanding of engineering analysis principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead program leadership to assess issues and drive productivity, quality, and schedule goals.
• Support earned value tracking and reporting.
• Coordinate tasking within the group.
• Participate in technical reviews and ensure quality of analysis work products.
• Grow and manage a diverse team of analysts.
• Interface with internal and external customers.
• Contribute to ROM development and Basis of Estimates as needed.
