Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Director of Electrical Engineering to lead the Electrical Design Engineering team and drive high‑voltage to low‑voltage infrastructure across North America’s facilities. You will oversee capital projects, mentoring SMEs, and coordinating with operations, sourcing, and regional engineering to deliver safe, reliable, and cost‑effective electrical designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering/Science (Electrical Engineering) from an accredited institution.
• 15-20 years of experience in electrical engineering with at least five years of leadership experience.
• Experience with MV and HV systems (e.g., switchgear, motor control centers, protective relaying, transformers).
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage, prioritize, and assign work across the Electrical Engineering team and SMEs.
• Lead electrical infrastructure design engineering for capital projects.
• Lead technical programs of strategic importance to the company.
• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve Reworld's Electrical specifications/design standards library.
• Provide engineering support to operations, including evaluation and implementation of technology upgrades.
• Engage and manage outside engineering firms to deliver technically sound, business-feasible electrical designs.
• Lead front-end design activities for capital projects in alignment with FEL processes and tools.
• Mentor, coach, and develop SMEs, including training on FEL tools and best practices.
• Lead feasibility studies for new or retrofit designs, evaluating total cost of ownership.
