Job summary

Reworld seeks a Director of Electrical Engineering to lead the Electrical Design Engineering team across 30+ North American facilities. You will oversee HV, MV, and LV infrastructure, drive major capital projects, mentor SMEs, and coordinate with Plant Support, Sourcing, PMO, Operations, and Regional Engineering.

Travel ~30% is expected. Requirements include a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and 15–20 years in electrical engineering with leadership experience.

• Strong problem-solving skills and data-driven decision making.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for cross-functional communication.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with minimal direction and strong leadership.

Responsibilities

• Discipline/Design Engineering: lead electrical design engineering across projects and teams.
• Capital Projects: guide electrical infrastructure design for capital initiatives.
• Technical Programs: oversee programs of strategic importance.
• Technical Standards: develop and maintain electrical design standards library.
• Operations Support: provide engineering support to operations and technology upgrades.
• External Engineering Partners: manage outside firms for sound, feasible designs.
• Front-End Loading: lead FEL activities for capital projects.
• Coaching and Mentoring: develop SMEs and train on FEL tools and best practices.
• Feasibility Studies: lead studies balancing total cost of ownership and technical/economic aspects.
