Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our professional consulting group. You will lead electrical design on complex projects across healthcare, commercial, and industrial facilities, coordinating with architects, engineers, and designers.

This role can be located in Stamford, CT or other Northeast offices. Applicants should hold a PE license, with strong knowledge of NFPA, IBC, and energy codes, and a track record of leading project teams from concept through

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Eng required.
• PE license required; LEED AP/Green Associate preferred.
• Experience leading electrical design teams on complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA, IBC and Energy Codes.
• Healthcare, lab or industrial facility experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design on multiple projects, developing full documentation.
• Supervise staff and mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Lead in client meetings to establish criteria and review progress.
• Coordinate project specifications with construction documents.
• Develop design through sketches, calculations and models.
• Manage project coordination meetings and ensure QA/QC.
