Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in San Diego, CA is seeking an Engineering Intern to support Transmission & Distribution projects and assist lead engineers with design tasks, data entry, and documentation while applying standard engineering methods.

The role requires pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, ABET preferred, and a 3.0 GPA. US work authorization is required. Internship offers campus/community involvement and growth opportunities in the field.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled and in good standing in a related program.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation, and presentations.
• Support lead engineers with project duties and design tasks.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by data collection and analysis.
• Research solutions and present recommendations to problems.
• Participate in ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
