Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern in Wallingford, CT. You will assist lead engineers with design tasks, data entry, and documentation while applying standard engineering techniques.

Responsibilities include researching solutions, presenting findings, and supporting ongoing projects in Transmission & Distribution. The role emphasizes communication skills, ABET-preferred background, and a proven effort in campus or community activities.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited program is required.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience is a plus.
• Active campus or community involvement is encouraged.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentations.
• Respond to general questions and assist lead engineers on project duties.
• Participate in data collection and analysis for continuous improvement.
• Present solutions to project concerns and research potential fixes.
• Support ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
