Job summary

Arup is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Los Angeles. The role offers hands-on experience in power distribution, lighting, grounding, and coordination studies within a multidisciplinary team.

You'll work with Revit MEP and SKM, develop electrical calculations, and contribute to technical reports. Ideal candidates are pursuing a BSEE or related degree with interest in sustainable, client-focused projects and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or similar.
• Interest in electrical engineering with emphasis on power in buildings/infrastructure.
• Strong planning, organization and communication skills.
• Ability to convey technical ideas clearly in writing and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution, lighting and lighting controls for buildings and infrastructure.
• Conduct short circuit, overcurrent coordination, load and arc flash studies.
• Perform lighting photometric calculations using AGI.
